Job Description Members of our engineering team are responsible for designing innovative medical devices, products and tools to support the Company's current product lines, as well as new products in the development pipeline. Our electrical engineers focus on developing hardware solutions to cover a wide range of clinical applications such as Image Guided Surgery, Ultrasound, and Artificial Intelligence. Principal Electrical Engineers are called upon to take leadership roles in developing hardware solutions from concept to production. Design and validation with external HW vendors may be required. They may interface directly with clinicians and upstream marketing to lead the way in ground-breaking new medical device technologies. Job Duties Top leadership roles in the research, development and release of new medical devices to assist physicians with detection and diagnosis of lung cancer. Research and Development principal responsibilities, including:
- System level engineering of medical devices - Design, specification, and validation of device hardware, using appropriate vendors as required - Establishment and leadership of new projects according to established design control and quality procedures -Successful execution of 510k and/or PMA applications in conjunction with Regulatory - Interface with clinicians and upstream marketing, doing initial development of novel, ground-breaking clinical devices/applications Create, maintain and implement schematics/specifications that comprise the design for Company electronic hardware. Design and implement validation and inspection protocols for first articles. Participate in design reviews and system architecture. Establish and thoroughly document hardware specifications and V&V protocols for system components. Adhere to development timelines. Resolve design problems with urgency, creativity and collaboration. Explore and document intellectual property in the creative solution to design challenges. Working knowledge of FDA requirements, including 820CFR, ISO14971, IEC60601, GMP and other standards as they relate to the design and manufacture of medical devices. Job Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master's degree or PhD preferred, although significant related industry experience is acceptable in lieu of. Experience with Requirements definition and Schematic capture required. Experience with Test and Measurement required. Minimum of 9 years of professional electrical engineering experience required (medical device field a plus); minimum of 7 years of professional electrical engineering experience required with Master's degree or PhD. Travel to other Company facilities, hospitals, and animal lab settings may be required. Ability to work overtime, as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working in RF, Digital, and/or Ultrasound projects in industry or academia strongly preferred. Experience with Medical Device Design Control a plus. Experience with HDL (VHDL/Verilog) a plus. Experience with software systems such as C or MATLAB a plus. Operate with little or no supervision. Proven ability to design components and/or sub-systems. Strong communication skills. Other projects and duties as necessary and assigned.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
