Job Description:
Flight Nurse AirMed International is hiring a Flight Nurse who is primarily responsible for independently providing patient care and education to assigned transport patient populations, while ensuring a safe and effective transport.
This position will stay with aircraft for two weeks performing patient transports to and from various locations throughout U.
S.
, Candada, and Mexico.
They establish supportive relationships with patients, significant others, and other members of the health care team through the use of positive interpersonal skills and must be able to perform duties as described herein.
Patient care is provided in accordance with established policy and procedures, medical protocols, and/or direct and on-line consultation with the appropriate medical control physician within the transport environment.

Responsibilities:
Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.

Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumRequired
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years' recent experience in adult/neonatal/pediatric critical and/or acute care setting.
(Recent is less than 6 months' bedside experience lapse.
) Maintains current licensure or certification in at least one state ( and any applicable states ) Current driver's license; EVOC if operating AMGH Emergency Response Vehicle Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications - BCLS, ACLS, PALS Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - Provided During O rientation Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) within 1 year of hire date Specialty cer tification ( CFRN ) within 2 years of hire date Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills Preferences:
